Our Mission

To remind others, we share a common humanity and all have an equal opportunity to have healthy productive lives. Additionally, we want individuals to understand and celebrate Cesar Chavez’s dedication to assisting all farmworkers in reaching equity and pride in their heritage.

One of the biggest part of our mission, is to give back to our local community. Our annual celebration and car show is a multi-faceted event focusing on our four main concepts: Unity, Acceptance, Wellness, and Diversity.

We do not charge to participate in this event, nor to attend. We do ask our community partners, vendors, car show participants, and performers bring a bag of nonperishable food items. We donate this food, and any funds raised, to the Child and Migrant Center in Palisade, Colorado.

“Our agricultural workers are very important. And I do feel like they are under appreciated. So one of the efforts is to highlight the hard work that our agricultural workers have in the honor of Cesar Chavez, our champion. I mean Cesar Chavez was the epidemy of equity. And we are a very equity minded group.”

— Tracy Gallegos, Cesar Chavez Celebration Committee Volunteer
